A Saulsville tavern shooting case postponed

25 December 2025- A man (32) from Limpopo appeared at the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court over Saulsville tavern shooting. He is facing charges of 12 counts of murder and 13 counts of attempted murder.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) regional spokesperson in Gauteng, Lumka Mahanjana said it is alleged that in the early hours of 6 December 2025, at approximately 4am, the accused was at a tavern in Saulsville Hostel, where him and his two accomplices allegedly shot and killed twelve people and attempted to kill thirteen others. Mahanjana said after an intensive investigation by the police, the accused was arrested on 22 December 2025, in Polokwane, Limpopo Province, while he was already in custody for an unrelated matter.

“In court, the matter was postponed to 31 December 2025, for bail investigations,” she said.
