28 November 2025- Former ANC councillor, Tebogo Sepale (45) was brutally killed in Kanana Township, near Orkney. It is alleged that Sepale’s body was discovered this morning at around 3am lying on the sidewalk in Matsi Street, near the stadium.
The North West police spokesperson, Colonel Adele Myburgh said Sepale had a gunshot wound to the head and was declared dead by Emergency Rescue Service (EMRS) on the scene.
“Anyone with information that can assist the police, are requested to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Vusi Gadebe on 018 476-4650 or Kanana Police on 060 997 3145. No arrest was made. Investigation continues,” said Myburgh.
In 2023, Sepale was arrested in May 2023, following the circulation of videos allegedly showing him engaged in sexual acts with minors. He faced multiple charges, including rape, statutory rape and manufacturing pornographic material.
However, Sepale was acquitted of sexual offence charges. He left the ANC and joined Umkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP).
