25 October 2025- A policeman was killed in Ganyesa, outside Vryburg on 25 October 2025. It is alleged that an off-duty policeman, Constable Boikanyo Molale’s lifeless body was found at approximately 5:30am on 25 October 2025, at Thokoza Section, Ganyesa.
The North West spokesperson, Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said the preliminary investigation has revealed that Molale, who was attached to Ganyesa Visible Policing, was allegedly assaulted by an unconfirmed number of suspects. Mokgwabone said Molale was declared dead at the scene and thus far, two suspects aged 22 and 27, have been arrested in connection with the murder.
“The suspects are expected to appear in court soon. The motive of the incident is unclear at this stage, and the acting North West Police Commissioner, Major General (Dr) Naidoo has instructed the investigation team to track and bring the remaining suspects to book to face the full might of the law.
“Naidoo has also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Molale family, relatives, and colleagues,” he said.
Meanwhile, Naidoo is saddened by the murder of Molale.
