21 October 2024- The CRC Church in Kimberley has dedicated a service to the men and women of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the Greater Kimberley area on Sunday. The dedication service was attended by the Northern Cape Deputy Provincial Commissioner for Corporate Services, Major General Thabo Mphuthi, and the Frances Baard District Commissioner, Major General Charlotte Makgari.
The Northern Cape police spokesperson, Colonel Cherelle Ehlers said the Provincial Heads, Station Commanders and officers, and members were also in attendance. Ehlers said Pastor Bryan Coetzee dedicated a sermon to the SAPS members and their families as they enter the festive season.
“He acknowledged the brave and selfless efforts by the men and women in blue who ensure that the communities are safe. Coetzee also commended the law enforcement for the continuous actions toward addressing crimes against women and children,” she said.
