A man arrested for allegedly being in possession of dagga

A man (41) was arrested for being in possession of dagga in Roodenpan on Thursday. The suspect was arrested by the Kimberley Public Order Police (POP) in the Frances Baard District during intelligence driven operation.

The Northern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Molefi Shemane said the police received a tip-off and operationalised it. Shemane said this led to the arrest of a suspect.

“Money believed to be the proceeds of crime and dagga with an estimated street value of R2,100 were confiscated.

“The public is encouraged to rate the police efforts in fighting crime by participating in the “RATE OUR SERVICE” online survey to assist the police in improving services.
