Two police officers were arrested for alleged theft of firearms and ammunition. The Hawks spokesperson in Northern Cape, Warrant Officer Nomthandazo Mnisi said a multi-disciplinary approach consisting of Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation team, Crime Intelligence and Highway Patrol, led to the arrest of two police Sergeants based at Petrusville Police Station for alleged theft of firearms and ammunition.
“Both suspects are expected to appear before Phillipstown Magistrate’s Court on 13 June 2024,” said Mnisi.
