The North West police in Vryburg said an investigation on the inquest case is still underway. This comes after a BP Truck Inn driver, Tebogo Leshole (51) found dead in a truck in Vryburg on 20 April 2023.
North West police spokesperson in Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati cluster, Warrant Officer Tryphosa van Rooyen said: “On Thursday morning, the owner of BP Truck Inn came to report that a truck driver was found to be unresponsive.
“Upon investigation at the scene, the truck was found to be locked and the door had to be forced open. The driver was found unresponsive and Emergency Medical Responsive Services (EMRS) personnel declared him dead.
“The driver was identified by another truck driver from the same company. An inquest was opened by the Vryburg police for further investigation and no foul play is suspected,” she said.
