Northern Cape police call on community members to be observant when traveling between Motsweding village and Rietvale near Modderriver. It is alleged that a woman was raped by a gun-wielding man wearing a balaclava on 1 January 2020.
Northern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Sergio Kock said: “The man allegedly threatened her with a firearm and dragged her into a nearby field where he raped her. He allegedly fled the scene afterward and his identity is still unknown.
“The suspect is believed to be between the ages of 20-30, slender built and tall. The community is advised by the police to be observant and keep safe. Anyone who may have information is encouraged to contact Sgt Moses Morris from the Kimberley SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences unit on 082 302 0473.”
He said the investigations on the continue.
