North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo will launch Villages, Townships and Small Dorpies (VTSD) Retail Economy Mini Shopping Centre and VTSD Hyper at Ventersdorp and Potchefstroom respectively on Wednesday.
Mahumapelo said this is the efforts to revitalize community enterprises across the province. “VTSD initiative will be taken to greater heights and this will be the first of its kind. This enterprise programme is aimed at empowering local business people to run sustainable enterprises, while at the same time working collectively through social enterprises.
“The VTSD Retail Economy is powered by the North West Development Corporation (NWDC) which is a form of co-operative business model. Small Micro Medium Enterprises (SMMEs) who are running tuckshops, butcheries, hair salons and hardware stores in a social enterprise model will benefit from this,” Mahumapelo said.
Relevant stakeholders, including the beneficiaries of the VTSD Retail Economy projects will be attending the launch.
