Taung Police are investigating cases of murder and inquest after police constable, Oatile Lucky Sebego (31) allegedly killed his girlfriend, Pinky Mogashwa (34) and turned the gun on himself afterwards.

The atrocity took place at Lokaleng village, in Taung at around 00:30am in Sunday.

The body of Sebego  was allegedly found behind his car, while his girlfriend’s body was in a car with gunshots wounds.

It is alleged that the couple was heard arguing outside the house before gunshots. North West police spokesperson, Brig Sabata Mokgwabone said investigations are underway.

“Taung police are investigating cases of murder and inquest following an incident in which a police constable allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, then shot himself in the early hours of today.

“The girlfriend was allegedly shot while inside the car. The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage and investigation into the matter continues,” Mokgwabone said.
