Following the civil protests which were experienced in 2015 at Kopela Village, where three schools (Noto and Ramokonyane Secondary schools and Kelebogile primary school) were burnt down.
This incident left learners without proper classes and it was difficult for learning and teaching to be rolled out fully in those conditions.
Education and sport development department spokesperson, Freddy Sepeng said the department resolved to renovate and upgrade the conditions of the three schools in order to improve the quality of education provided to the learners.
“The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Lehari will lead the Sort Turning. The event will take place at Kelebolgile Primary School in Kopela Village at 2pm,” Sepeng said.
