A 55-YEAR-OLD man was sentenced to two lives in prison by Garankuwa Regional Court on Monday.
North West police spokesperson, Col Lieutenant Pelonomi Makau said the accused raped his daughter, 13, in Letlhabile back in 2013. She further said the mother of the victim was not home during the atrocity.
“The convict was also found guilty for attempted murder after he hit the victim with an axe. He was sentenced to eight years imprisonment. The victim divulged the incident to her mother,” Makau said.
North West Police Commissioner, Lieutenant Gen Baile Motswenyane said they welcome the decree.
