ANN7 is shocked following the death of a colleague in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Nhlanhla Ngcobo was in a car with four friends driving home to Soweto. The driver lost control of the car and hit a pole. The car overturned, killing Ngcobo. The driver and the other passengers incurred minor injuries.

Ngcobo, the station’s operations administrator, leaves behind his partner and three-month-old daughter.

“RIP Nhlanhla we will always love and remember you all the time,” colleague Mandisa Makinana said.

Friends mourned on social media.

Khululiwe Babysmile said: “We will take care of your daughter and tell her that your father was the happiest soul we knew. The life of the party. He had the biggest heart ever, never kept a grudge.”
