A 26 year-old man was arrested for an armed robbery. Northern Cape police spokesperson, Lieutenant Sergio Kock said the incident took place on the weekend.
“The incident took place on Saturday at about 4pm. Two men allegedly entered a shop in Old De Beers Road and threatened the owner with screw drivers.
“The men fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and two cell phones. One of the suspects was arrested on Monday at approximately 8am. The police received a tip-off from community members,” Kock said.
He further added that the second suspect is still at large. Kock said they request anyone with information regarding the incident to call D/WO Marcus Mafaro on 082 302 0407.
