THREE people aged between 20 and 25 were arrested for business robbery in Maboloka village, outside Brits on Wednesday. Police said five suspects allegedly entered a shop owned by Pakistani national. They allegedly pointed the shop owner with a firearm.
Provincial police spokesperson, Col Sabata Mokgwabone said the suspects allegedly robbed the shop owner undisclosed amount of cash, airtime vouchers and cigarettes.
“Seven suspects fled the scene with a white Toyota Double Cab mounted with false Gauteng Province registration. The police were informed and a roadblock was conducted. Three suspects were nabbed during roadblock after four suspects escape. Those who were arrested were two Malawians and one Zimbabwean. Police managed to recover some of the stolen goods during the arrest,” Mokgwabone said.
