‘Pudimoe police cluster ready to combat crime’

POLICE at Pudimoe police station, near Taung, said they were ready to fight and prevent crime this coming festive season.

  Station commander, Colonel Matshidiso Moruting said they have started operations to combat house breaking and business robbery crimes and they will intensify the campaign until festive season.

  “Pudimoe cluster serves close to 13 villages and our campaign will be kick-starts this week. We have put business robberies and house breaking matter at the top of the list. We will start with blue light patrol. We want to encourage our community members to make sure that they leave their lights on if they going somewhere or leave someone in the house. The criminals monitor your movements, so let make sure that we are always observant.

“We have also experienced break-ins some of accommodations where residing Vuselela FET college students. Another issue was break-ins at our schools during holidays. We urge our school governing bodies to make sure the schools are safe during festive season. We will be visiting our local taverns to see that they comply with liquor act.  We will make sure we apprehend those who find themselves at the wrong side of the law,” she said.

  Moruting said that they have identified the hotspots and police visibility will be on high alert.
