FUNERAL CHAOS!

funeral chaos

WHILE mourners were on their way to the cemetery for the funeral of taxi driver Sello Baloyi (29), a spinning taxi hit another vehicle from behind.

Traffic was brought to a standstill yesterday as mourners filled the streets of Block V in Soshanguve, Tshwane.

Sello was shot dead last Saturday, allegedly by his former employer who claimed he owed him R300.

Police vans were seen near the suspect’s house as rumours spread that people wanted to burn down his house.

At the cemetery mourners danced to loud music and drank while the funeral service was going on.

Speaking at the funeral, Ward 27 Councillor Phumzile Hlatshwayo told the mourners that the taxi industry and community structures need to work with the police to end taxi violence.
