Johannesburg – It is unclear when Oscar Pistorius will be released from Kgosi Mampuru II Prison in Pretoria should he be granted parole.

Spokesperson for Correctional Services, Manelisi Wolela, said he could not shed light on the process as the department took instruction from the chairperson of the parole review board.

Pistorius was jailed last year after he was found guilty of culpable homicide for gunning down his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his Pretoria home on Valentine’s Day in 2013.
