A 40 year-old Nigerian man appeared before Brits Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday after he was arrested for allegedly being in possession of dagga and drugs worth R2000.
North West police spokesperson, Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said that the man was arrested by the Brits Tactical Response Team (TRT) during intelligence driven operation which was held in conjunction with officers from Crime Intelligence.
“The man was arrested at his house and police found dagga and drugs stashed under a flower-pot next to the house. He was suspected to be part of a syndicate dealing in dagga and drugs in the area. A case against him has been postponed to October 01 and he will remain in custody,” Moleko said.
