Four nabbed for dagga in North West

Mmabatho police arrested four suspects, two women and two men between the age of 36 and 40 for being in possession of dagga in Lokaleng village, Mmabatho.

 

North West police said this came about after the police received a tip-off that there was dagga at a certain house at the village. Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said police responded promptly to the information and went to the place.

 

“Upon arrival, they found four suspects and searched their house.  They found 163 kg of dagga hidden inside one of the rooms with the estimated value of R400 000.00.  All four suspects are expected to appear in Mmabatho Margistrates’ Court on Monday, (31 August 2015).

Pampierstad murder case postponed

A case against three Pampierstad murder suspects will resume on Wednesday at North West High Court in Vryburg, says National Prosecuting Authority. Provincial spokesperson, Frank Lesenyego said the pre-trial conference against three accused, Benjamin Mongale, 28, Letlhogonolo Kaushu,21, and Refilwe Molokwane,25,  was postponed.

“We can confirm that a case against Pampierstad murder accused will resume on 02 September 2015 at North West High court in Vryburg” he said.

The trio was arrested amid Pampierstad taxi driver, Boy Kheswa’s death. According to information, Mongale, Kaushu and Molokwane were subsequently arrested after they were linked to Kheswa’s murder. Kheswa was kidnapped three years ago and was found with a bullet wound in his head.
