Mmabatho police arrested four suspects between the ages of 36 and 40 for being in possession of dagga in Lokaleng village, near Mmabatho. North West police spokesperson, sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said the incident took place after the police received a tip-off that there was dagga at a certain house in the village.

“Police responded promptly to the information and went to the place. Upon arrival, they found four suspects and searched their house.  They found 163 kg of dagga hidden inside one of the rooms with the estimated value of R400 000,” Moleko said.

All four suspects are expected to appear in Mmabatho Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
