N12 Wolmerandstad accident leaves multiple injured

An accident on the N12 approximately thirty kilometres from Wolmarandsstad have left multiple people injured.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that various vehicles were involved in a chain rear-end crash.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon assessment of all the occupants, paramedics found that multiple people had sustained minor to serious injuries.

“The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care and treatment,” Steinmann said.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.

Another Bangladesh bussineman killed in Taung

A Bangladesh businessman was bludgeoned by unknown men at his shop in Mothanthanyane village, near Taung on Friday.

North West police spokesperson, captain Paul Ramaloko said the gruesome took place on Friday morning at around 02:00am. “The unknown suspects allegedly entered a house of a Bangladesh man through the roof and bludgeoned him to death. The victim who was in his early 30s died on the scene.”

Ramaloko said the suspects stole undisclosed amount of money including grocery from the victim’s shop.

It is alleged that the supermarket of the victim was set ablaze by suspects before they fled the scene.

No one has been arrested and police investigation continues.
