Rustenburg – The school democracy week, aimed at educating pupils about democratic values and electoral process was launched in Christiana, North West, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) said on Wednesday.

“The schools democracy week seeks to encourage, educate and empower learners to understand and participate in the democratic processes of the country and ultimately contribute to the deepening constitutional democracy,” said Tumelontle Thiba, head of the IEC in the North West.
