Three people have tragically died while three were injured, two critically so, after a bus and two cars collided on the N3 in Villiers about twenty kilometres from the Wilge plaza on the south bound. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
“Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial services arrived at the scene and found the crumpled remains of the car trapped under the bus with some of the occupants still trapped in the wreckage, a second vehicle was also involved in the accident but the occupants was uninjured. After triaging emergency services found that two people sustained critical injuries while one escaped with minor injuries. What appears to be two adults and a child that had died is still trapped in the wreckage under the bus and emergency workers are fervently working to extricate them” Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.
Further updates will follow as soon as the scene has been cleared. One lane on the south bound has been close and traffic on the north bound is traveling very slowly.
