JAN KEMPDORP- NOrthern Cape police arrested four of nine suspects who escaped from custody at Jan Kempdorp Police cells on Thursday last week.

According to police, four suspects were re-arrested on Tuesday.

Brigadier Masebueng Mochologi-Maleeme said four suspects were arrested on Tuesday.

“Jan Kempdorp police arrested 4 of the 9 escapees yesterday. They will be charged for Escaping from Lawful Custody and will appear in the Jan Kempdorp magistrates’ court on Thursday, 12th February 2015. Police are following up on possible leads of the other five escapees” Maleeme said.

Police investigations continue.
