TAUNG- A man was stabbed to death in Taung CBD on Saturday after he engaged in a fight with his friend, North West police said.

Orateng Matsitle who was residing at Ditshilong village, near Taung allegedly engaged in an argument with his friend that led to a bloody fight.

Matsitle and the suspect were allegedly working as self-employed porters at Taung complex.

According to information, both men who were “friends” ensued in a fierce argument over a zambuk.

The suspect allegedly stabbed the deceased several times in his upper body and he succumbed to his injuries.

According to our mole, the deceased always tormented the suspect over clients and that created animosity between them.

The atrocity took place on Saturday at Taung complex near Capitec bank at around 16:30.

Police investigation continues and the suspect is expected to appear before Taung Magistrate Court soon to face murder charge.
