Molapisi wishes MPL speedy recovery and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family


MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management Gaoage Molapisi wishes speedy recovery to the Member of Bokone Bophirima Provincial Legislature Mahlakeng Mahlakeng who was involved in an accident on the N4 road in Rustenburg.

According to Traffic Authorities at the scene, Mahlakeng’s bronze Toyota Hilux Double Cab collided with a bronze BMW owned by a 37-year-old woman driver who lost control on a wet road towards the Kroondal off-ramp.

The driver of BMW died on spot and her two children 8 and 7 years survived with critical injuries. The children were rushed to Peglarae Hospital, while Mahlakeng was rushed to Ferncrest Hospital where he has been operated.

Molapisi further expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and wished speedy recovery to the children.

The departmental MEC appealed to motorists to drive with caution on the roads particularly that they are in rainy season.

“It is festive and this is a rainy season, now our road users need to be extra cautious on the roads, drive with reasonable speed that would allow you to control the vehicle where it matters.

“We also encourage our motorists to always make sure that their vehicles are roadworthy” he said.

According to Molapisi, there are smaller things that people take for granted and these things causes’ death and pains.

“We need to be ambassadors of road safety and comply with road rules and that starts with an individual,” concluded Molapisi.
