Kokomeng- A 35 year-old woman burnt to death in Kokomeng village, near Taung on Tuesday, says North West police.

Sergeant Kelebogile Moleko said police were called after a raging fire killed a 35 year-old woman.

“According to information, a 35 year-old woman was asleep in her shack with a 3 year-old baby in Kokomeng village, near Taung at around 19:00” she said.

A 17 year-old neighbor allegedly noticed a fire coming out of the shack and rescued a 3 year-old baby. The community tried to rescue a 35 year-old mother, but infuriated fire pierced through her bones and flesh.

“A case of inquest was opened at Kokomeng Police Station and investigations continue” Moleko said.
