Rustenburg- Police are investigating a case of theft after a laptop that was in a Jetta sedan vehicle belonging to the North West Provincial Secretary of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) was broken into on Thursday in Rustenburg.

“It is alleged that the incident took place at approximately 15:30 along Steen Street near Department of Labour where the car was parked. According to the information available at this stage, two unknown male suspects broke the car’s small rear right window and took a laptop that was on the rear seat” colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said.

The suspects allegedly ran away, but dropped the laptop after they were spotted by community members who chased after them.

“No one has been arrested at this stage and investigation into the matter continues” Mokgwabone said.
