Molapisi applauds N12Traffic highway patrol and SAPS flying squad teams

North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Gaoage Molapisi applauded the N12 traffic highway patrol and the South African Police Service flying squad teams who nailed the armed robbers earlier this week.

Three suspects who were driving a blue BMW 3 series were arrested by the two teams after they allegedly robbed in Orkney. It is believed that the suspects are responsible for a number of ATM bombings and cash in transit and mall robberies.

A Toyota Hilux double cab has since escaped the scene which it was believed to be part of the robbery. Police and traffic officers are not sure of the number of those in the double cab.

MEC Molapisi said the corporation and working together of SAPS and Traffic Authorities is now bearing fruitful fruits. He sends his message of gratitude to the two team members for the bravery and commitment.

“A successful arrest of and armed robbers showed your level of commitment to your daily work and you displayed an element of bravery.

This arrest should send out a message to criminals that they cannot escape the net that is closing on them and their operations. And to those who allegedly escaped, that is a temporary success but my strong message to you is that we are just behind your footsteps and very soon you will be behind bars where you belong,” concluded Moalapisi.
