The African National Congress in the North West welcomes the outcomes of the 3 by-elections held in various wards in Tswaing , Matlosana and Greater Taung yesterday.

“Indeed, our people have confidence in the ANC as the leader of society and progressive force in our province in particular and in country in general. We have retained all 2 of our wards and gained 1 ward which was previously occupied by DA, Tswaing ward 6” ANC North West provincial secretary Dakota Legote said.

The ANC`s overwhelming and resounding victory in Ward 6 in Tswaing demonstrates that people continue to believe in the ANC.

“The electorate of Ward 6 have rejected the DA`s assertion that they could present a credible and convincing alternative to the African National Congress, has been met with disdain. This is a clear positive sign the future especially the 2016 local government election” Legote said.

He said the ruling party thank all their electorates, volunteers and leaders of our election machinery for making the people’s movement a champion of the working class in this victory of all the September, 17 by –elections.
