Ipelegeng- North West police arrested two suspects for being in possession of stolen weapon and ammunitions after a man was allegedly threatened with a firearm.
Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone said police and community patrollers were engaged on a patrol routine when being approached by a victim.
“Police were approached by a victim who outlined that he was pointed with a firearm. He took the police to a crime scene were two suspects aged 22 and 26 were allegedly arrested” Mokgwabone said.
Police said a stolen firearm was found in their possession along with sharp bullets.
They were arrested and linked to a burglary case which was reported back in September 2013.
The suspects were granted a bail of R1000 each on Monday at Schweizer Reneke Magistrate Court and will be back in court again on Tuesday for burglary case.-TDN
