Itsoseng-North West police arrested a 21 year-old man for murder he allegedly bludgeoned his ex-girlfriend to death on Sunday, colonel Emelda Setlhaku said.

Colonel Emelda setlhako said the atrocity took place at Bethel village and the suspect was arrested.

“A 17 year-old girl was found lying on the streets with her throat slit open. The police arrested her ex-boyfriend in connection of murder” Setlhako said.

The suspect was arrested at Matile village, near Itsoseng and will appear in court on Monday.

Police said the two was allegedly engaged in an argument and that led to the death of the teen.
