Choseng residents irked over water shortage

Pudumong-The community of Choseng village, near Pudumong were up in arms after their taps dried up for months. The community representatives allegedly wrote a letter of grievances to minister of Water Affairs, mme Edna Molewa.

 

Molewa’s office sent her representatives to compile a report.

 

The delegates was headed by Ismael Khumoeng who said he will deliver the community’s letter to relevant authorities and they will take it from there.

 

“We do not have answers for now , I will take your memorandum to the relevant authorities. The minster’s office will interact with them to make sure the issue is prioritized” Khumoeng said.

 

The community of Choseng village and their neighbourhood have been struggling with water to such extend that water tanks were brought to aid the process.

 

“We would like to urge Sedibeng water to supply us with clean water as the water they brought, sometime taste bitter” one of community members outlines.

 

However Sedibeng Communication Officer rre Legalammitwa said the community must make sure that they inform them immediately with any water problem they experience.

 

“Please make sure that as a community member you inform us immediately about any problem you experience with our water. We have a laboratory in place and all water supplied to the community is tested” Legalammitlwa said.

 

The community said they will wait with bated breath to see their request be attended to.-TDN
