Four nabbed with R1m dagga in Norther Cape

Groblershoop-Police are investigating a case of dealing in drugs. On Tuesday at about 04h30am, police received information about a certain newspaper delivery truck that was carrying dagga on it.

“The SAPS members from the Shift followed up the information and managed to stop the truck. Police started searching the truck and found newspapers, medication boxes, as well as 13 bags of dagga weighing at about 234,5 kilograms” lieutenant Donald Mdhluli said.

The street value of the dagga is allegedly estimated at about R1, 170 250 (One million one hundred and seventy thousands two hundred and fifty Rands).

“Four suspects were then arrested and they are a 39-year-old-woman, a 36-year-old-man, a 39-year-old-man, as well as a 17-year-old-man believed to be a Lesotho national” said Mdhluli.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Groblershoop soon.
