Road closures for 16 Adays of activism on No violence against women and children launch

Modiri Molema Road has been closed at the intersection of Sekame Road towards Mmabatho Stadium in anticipation of heavy traffic ahead of the 16 days of Activism on no violence against women and children national launch to be held at the Stadium Parking Lot in Mahikeng as from 10:00 this morning.

 

 

 

Motorists are urged to cooperate with traffic law enforcement for smooth flow of traffic.

 

 

 

 Only accredited vehicles will be allowed to drive into the road for reserved VIP parking in the Department Public Works, Road and Transport precinct. Parking for busses and taxis is reserved inside the Mmabatho Stadium premises.

 

 

 

Dignitaries and members of the media are advised that accreditation for the event is at the Mmabana Cultural Centre  near the Shell Garage Sekame and James Moroka CBD intersection road as from 8:00 am.

 

As part of the programme for the day, messages of support will also be received from Pastor Ray Mac Cauley of the National Religious Leaders Council, Mbuyiselo Botha from the National Council Against Gender Based Council,Bafana Khumalo from Sonke Gender Justice, Mfanozelwe Shozi from the Commisssion on Gender Equality, Bishop Matebesi of the National Interfaith Council of South Africa.-TDN
