Itsoseng-A 31 year-old suspect has been arrested for alleged rape of a 23 year-old victim on Friday at about 23:15 in Bodibe Village,near Itsoseng, North West police said.  

“It is alleged that the victim and her boyfriend were on their way home when the suspect threw stones at them. They ran away and the suspect chased them. He allegedly grabbed the victim from behind by her neck and the boyfriend managed to escape leaving the victim behind” sergeant Kelebogile Moiloa said. 

The suspect allegedly dragged the victim into open veld where he raped her.  

Moiloa said the police were informed about the matter and the suspect was later arrested. He is expected to appear before Itsoseng Magistrates’ Court on Monday on charges of rape.-TDN
