Potchefstroom-On Friday evening at around 18:30, Potchefstroom paramedics responded to the scene of a collision on the N12 approximately 30 kilometers outside of Potch towards Johannesburg.

“A truck and two light motor vehicles had collided into one another, where the rear passenger of a VW Polo Vivo had been left with such severe injuries that he had died on scene” Er24 spokesperson in the province, Chris Venter said. 

The front passenger was in a critical condition having suffered broken bones and a head injury, and he along with the driver of the vehicle who had suffered minor injuries, were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.

“The driver of the truck and occupants of the second light motor vehicle involved were fortunately not injured as a result of the crash” said Venter.-TDN
