Farm workers have embarked on a strike at a number of farms in the Western Cape belonging to JF Le Roux, a prominent fruit-producing group. 

Farm workers affiliated to the trade union Bawusa claim there has been a unilateral change of working conditions. They say some of their benefits have been reversed following the implementation of the sectorial minimum wage for farm workers of R105 a day.
