Kimberley- Galeshewe Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are investigating a rape case which allegedly took place on 18 February 2012 between 00:00pm and 02:00am.

Lieutenant Sergio Kock said a 16 year-old female complainant alleges she was from a friend in Jupiter Street and was on her way home. The unknown suspect grabbed her from behind and put a knife to her throat.

“He threatened to kill her if she screamed and took her to a nearby soccer field situated in the White City vicinity in Roodepan. The suspect allegedly raped the victim at knife point” Kock said.

Police said the suspect is slender built and speaks Afrikaans.

“He was allegedly dressed in a black jacket with white stripes and blue jeans. The police request that anyone with information in this regard please call Detective Warrant Officer Gideon Ferrelson at 082 495 4605. All information will be treated with the strictest of confidence” Kock.
