Christiana-North West Department of Education will hold a cleansing ceremony at School For The Blind in Christiana on Monday.

 

This comes after a nine-year-old boy has drowned in a swimming pool in Christiana, North West months ago.

 

A nine year-old boy drowned in a two-metre-deep swimming pool.

 

The boy was believed to have climbed over the swimming pool fence, and had no visible injuries on his body.

 

He was declared dead after being taken to hospital.

 

The school experienced few deaths of pupils in the past and MEC of Education mme Wendy Matsemela will lead the delegates.

 

Various churches leaders and representatives are expected to grace the event.-TDN
