Reivilo-North West police are investigating a case of assault against a cop who is stationed at Hartswater after a road rage.
Two policemen and a security guard were allegedly ensued in a fight after an argument.
According to our eyewitness, two officers and their father where at Reivilo filling station where they allegedly found a security guard’s vehicle parked.
The off-duty allegedly parked next to the guard’s car.
“When the guard came back to his car, he allegedly found the car belonging to police officers bar his way and that drove him berserk” our source.
When two officers who are brothers, arrived back to their car, an argument erupted between both parties.
“It is alleged that a security guard hauled insult to the father of the two telling him that he is just watching without interfering” said our mole.
Two constables, allegedly did not take this well and one of them went to confront the security guard.
“Their argument led to a fight where a police officer unleashed a powerful shot that landed in a guard’s face and left him with swollen eye” our source outlines.
The security officer allegedly drove home to asked help from his firearm and recruits few friends for round two.
“Two police officers allegedly left the scene and continue with their journey to the nearby farm”.
According to our source, two cops along with their father saw a car following them at high speed.
The alleged car overtook them and the other officer who was a passenger in the car, realised that one of the passengers was their victim.
“According to constable, 32, a security guard allegedly pointed a firearm towards them and he asked his brother to slow down” our source said.
After both parties were allegedly out of their cars, round two started.
“A constable who is stationed at Vryburg Police Station retrieved his firearm and fired a warning shot in the air after he saw a security guard bridged his gun”
Taung DailyNews contacted North West police spokesperson sergeant Kealeboga Molale, but she said they have not received that crime report.
Our crew spoke to captain Pelonomi Makau who promised to look into this matter.
Our eyewitness said a fight again erupted and while both parties were allegedly negotiating, a furious security officer handed a driver (constable) a “King Booker T” kick alike and that sent him straight into the emergency room.
Emergency Services and police were allegedly called.
A cop was allegedly admitted at Vryburg hospital for medical attention.
A security guard and a cop were allegedly taken to police station for questioning.
“A police officer opened a case of pointing a firearm while a security guard launched a counter-charge of assault against a limping officer” our mole said.
