Johannesburg-Orlando Pirates coach Roger De Sa said they are expecting an open game against one of African football giants Esperance.
Soweto-based club are hosting Tunisians in a quest of qualifying for the final of most prestigious competition in club football.
“We’re expecting an open game and we must be wary not to concede” De Sa said.
Pirates will not be with Patrick Phungwayo who is injured and also the Sea Robbers will be without their enterprising striker Kermit Erasmus who is cup-tied.
De Sa says, Esperance are playing a positive football and is expecting a plenty of attacks from both side.
Esperance comes into this game upbeat as they’ve only lost one game in championship from their backyard.
Pirates will be searching for a win at all cost in the first leg as second leg will be a mammoth task away.-TDN

ANC’s fake delivery in Tlokwe shows desperation

Democratic_Alliance_(South_Africa)_logo_2008
By Obakeng Maje
Tlokwe-The daily newspaper reported today that the ANC handed out title deeds for broken and half-completed RDPs in Ikageng Extension 11 one day before the by-election last month, says DA.
Democratic Alliance in the province said it is obvious that ANC is willing to resort to blatant vote-buying to regain power in Tlokwe.
“The DA has been aware of this incident for some time. This project included roughly 700 RDP houses. These houses were officially completed during 2012. But many of the homes weren’t properly finished and remained only half-completed even after a second contractor was appointed. Many others were also of very low quality to the extent that some have become unsafe and have even collapsed” DA Chris Hattingh said.
DA said the provincial housing MEC, Nono Maloyi, saw fit to hand out the long-overdue title deeds for unsafe and incomplete homes the day before the by-election.
“This is fake delivery aimed at securing votes and good public relations in the run-up to an election. The ANC’s fake delivery chickens are now coming home to roost. People in Tlokwe are becoming aware of this tactic, and are rejecting it” he said.
MEC Nono Maloyi handed out 1000 houses tittle deeds to community of Tlokwe three weeks ago.
“The DA wants to advance real service delivery in Tlokwe. That is why we are doing everything we can to ensure stability in the City Council and root out corruption. We are on the side of real delivery that changes lives over time, step-by-step” concludes Hattingh.-TDN
