‘Meat-hungry’ suspect arrested in Northern Cape

Kimberley-The Northern Cape police have arrested a 33 year-old suspect in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Tuesday in Galeshewe. 

“The owner of the Shop was busy opening the shop when he was attacked by three suspects with a firearm and knives” lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana said. 

The suspects managed to get away with undisclosed amount of money, meat, and two cell phones. 

Tawana said police arrested a 33 year-old Thabo Mapatsi in connection with this robbery and discovered one of the stolen cellphone. 

Mapatsi appeared before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court and his case was postponed and he was remanded in custody. 

Police are still looking for the two other suspects and anyone with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Attie Browers on 082 469 0138 or they can contact the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111, said Tawana.
