Klerksdorp-North West police are investigating a case of rape and murder after a 69 year-old woman was allegedly raped and murdered on Saturday at Jouberton,Ext 17 near Klerksdorp.
Sergeant Kelebogile Moiloa said a lifeless body of Morake Lekhonkhobe,69 was found at her home.
Police were summoned to the scene after they received a call related to the incident.
“It is alleged that two suspects forcefully entered a house in Jouberton,Ext 17 and raped a 69 year-old woman” Moiloa said.
Police said Lekhonkhobe was allegedly raped and stabbed with a screw driver on his head.
She allegedly died on the scene and two suspects are still at large after robbing her two cellphones.
Police investigations continue.
