Johannesburg – Two men were killed when their light aircraft crashed at a Klerksdorp airfield on Sunday morning, paramedics said.

The aircraft had been performing aerobatics throughout the morning when paramedics, who were loading equipment into a helicopter, heard it crash about 500m away at about 11:00, ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said.

The victims are two men in their late 20s. The cause of the accident would be investigated.
