JOHANNESBURG – Police are investigating the possibility of a Dobsonville woman being involved in the disappearance of a UJ student, after she provided false information about her whereabouts.

The 19 year old was arrested on Friday after she claimed to have spotted Palesa Madiba, who has been missing for over a month.

Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said the information sent them on a wild goose chase.

“We arrested her for misdirecting the police.”

Madiba is still missing and police are urging anyone with reliable information to come forward.
