Bloemhof-North West police are investigating a case of robbery after a 16 year-old boy was badly assaulted and robbed his belongings.

Captain Pelonomi Makau said the incident took place in Bloemhof CBD whereby a teenager and his friends were allegedly watching some street performance in town when he was attacked.

“A 16 year-old boy was allegedly watching street performance in Bloemhof when two suspects allegedly attacked him. He was stabbed in the back with a knife by a suspect and the other one allegedly hit him with bottle of beer on his head” Makau said.

According to the victim, the suspects are known to him and he was allegedly taken to Bloemhof hospital bleeding profusely.

“Paramedics transferred him to Tshepong hospital from Bloemhof after he bled profusely” she said.

The suspects allegedly robbed the victim his shoes and cellphone.

A case of robbery and assault were opened and investigations continue.-TDN
