The police in various parts of the North West Province were out in numbers in the past week, between 04 and 11 August 2013 when they arrested a total of 663 suspects for Contact crimes, Contacted related, Property related crimes as well as trio crimes.

The arrested suspects include 138 for Assault GBH and Assault Common respectively, 22 Robbery Aggravating, 15 Business Robbery, 21 for burglaries, 29 undocumented persons, 12 for rape, 7 Murder, 60 for drug related crimes, 31 for driving under the influence of liquor.  Police managed to confiscate and recover 4 cell phones, five vehicles,  8 firearms and 517 Ammunitions during operation.

Most of the suspects have already appeared before courts while others are expected to appear before various courts on Monday, 12 August  2013.
