Kimberley-Northern Cape police have yet again worked hard to curb the scourge of crime. During various crime prevention initiatives, the men and women in blue raided various liquor outlets to ensure that they comply with the regulations.
Police said a large amount of liquor estimated at about 225 litres was seized.
“980 Counterfeit cigarettes as well as 194 kilograms of dagga, estimated at a street value of about R970 000.00 was also confiscated during other crime prevention operations in the Galeshewe area” lieutenant Donald Mdhluli said.
“On the 11th of July 2013, after finalisation of cases thereof in Court, these items were then disposed accordingly” concludes Mdhluli.
